Why Tableside
We built this for a friend's restaurant first.
A friend of mine spent fifteen years building a restaurant that people drove an hour to eat at. Loyal regulars. Booked-out weekends. A staff that stayed for years. By every measure that mattered to him, it was working.
Then the platforms started eating his margins. Yelp owned his reviews. Google owned his search traffic. DoorDash owned his delivery customers. He had no way to reach the people who loved his food without paying a tax to a company that had never set foot in his kitchen. Tableside started as a way to give him back the one thing those platforms could never own — a list of his regulars. Now we're building it for indie restaurants everywhere.
"The list you build is yours. That's the whole point."
